Event
The competition includes separate men’s and women’s tournaments. Each tournament consists of two sessions:
- Preliminary rounds organized as a pool system, half round robin
- Finals organized as double elimination rounds

The breakdown is based on previous Gay Games and Out Games history in Europe:
- 70 man (5 teams) and 70 women (5 teams)
- 10% North America, 90% remaining countries
