Between history and modernity: Jean Bouin, a stadium of excellence
The former Jean Bouin stadium was built in 1925. He especially hosted rugby matches of the Stade Français. The City of Paris by the reconstruction of the stadium, wanted to support the high-level rugby and the development of sports. Open to the city, sensitive to the scale of the neighborhood, he completed a high level device of sports arenas (Parc des Princes, Hippodrome de Longchamp, Roland Garros ...). Rudy RICCIOTTI, well-known architect, has been chosen to make this stadium functional, modern and sexy and much more: an art object. "The asymmetry, rippling and fruit facades are synonymous of movement, of effort which cannot be embodied in a frozen envelope" R. Riccioti.
Inaugurated in March 2013, the Jean Bouin stadium has a capacity of 20,000 seats. The quality of its rooms, medical services, newsroom, official forum, allows it to meet the conditions for approval of a rugby stadium of international level. The Gay Games participants and officials will be accommodated optimally.
At the heart of Paris, it is also very accessible by public transport (metro lines nearby as well as many bus lines).
Preservation of the environment was the central issue of reconstruction and has materialized in particular by the introduction of solar panels covering the needs for lighting, by recovery of rainwater, or by the use of energy efficient carbon materials.

Duration: It will last approximately 2h00 (from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm with doors open from 4:00 pm).
Comprehensive approach to the space and scenery:
The stadium will be separated into a public space (bleachers), a scenic area (lawn) and a backstage area (backstage) to a staging full of unexpected appearances. Cabaret in a setting inspired by the Belle Époque, the most prestigious period of the city of Paris, it will illustrate the most beautiful symbols of the capital. To transform the stage, the production will use tubular structure coated canvas with the image of monuments such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame, Montmartre, the Moulin Rouge. The production will also use inflatable structures. These structures serve multiple scenes used separately or simultaneously by the troupe. Another scene, dressed in a setting of riverboat, hosts official speeches, the orchestra (as requested in the specifications) as well as bands. The Seine river, which runs through the capital, will also be represented among these monuments by a course of tiles that can be lit and surrounded by pyrotechnics. This installation could symbolize the idea of time flowing and help the viewer to follow the course of the show. Technical equipment (Sound, Light, LED) will fit into the design. It seems worth noting that the technical part is sufficient for good listening in the stadium.
