Cheer Leader

Opening Ceremony

Cheerleading will be welcomed at the beginning of the week of Gay Games and cheer leaders will be at the heart of the program that week.

Cheers will perform before the opening of doors in Jean Bouin’s stadium and will also welcome the athletes when they go intothe stadium.

A Dancing City

The cheers come early in the week to perform from time to time in the stadiums or during the ball trials (volleyball, basketball, handball ...) and in the semis and finals.

The half time will be organized to learn more about this discipline which is very little known in Europe.

On the stage of village the place of the City Hall, the cheers will also perform throughout the week with various associations present in France. This is an opportunity to promote the party dedicated for them on Friday, August 10th.

The Big Cheers Party

Duration: 2h30

This great party dedicated for cheerleaders’ competition will be held in the new hall of Carreau du temple in the Marais (gay district of Paris). This performance will be the opportunity to host international teams in different performances, in solo, duo and group. Classification will be made with scoring on a scale defined in advance with medals awarded.

French associations affiliated to the French cheerleading federation will participate in this event.

Venue: Le Carreau du Temple – Paris 3rd  district

10 000 m² of hall booked for the event where more than 2,500 people will attend the show in optimized conditions. Lodges, cafeterias... are available on site. The regulations that will be applied will be the one in force by the federation including compulsory figures.

Closing Ceremony

The cheerleaders will perform before the opening of the doors in the Parc de la Villette and will be a part of the show. Indeed, on the second stage, on the annex facing the audience, these teams will offer demonstrations before the show.

French Federation American Football is a member of ECA (European Cheerleading Association) and IFC (International Federation of Cheerleading). Cheerleading Section includes nearly 90 sections in France!
