back

A mix of dance, acrobatics, gymnastics and songs, cheerleading was invented by American university students.

The literal translation of “cheerleading” is unambiguous: to cheer = to encourage, and leading comes from ‘to lead’. So,  lead the encouragements and support a team …

If cheerleading takes its origins from gymnastics, dance, and acrobatic gymnastics, the fact remains that all these elements have been adapted, arranged, and modified to create a real identity and a spirit appropriate to the discipline.

This sport, which we qualify as an emerging discipline, is characterized by a precise series of movements. Cheerleaders perform technical manoeuvers, which requires intensive training.
