The Château de Vincennes, the former residence of the king of France, marks the entrance into the Woods. From there, you can walk to the Floral Park, the Zoo, and the Hippodrome (horseracing track).
In nice weather, Parisians picnic here and take walks in the Woods and around the 4 lakes situated in the Bois de Vincennes.
Located on the East side of Paris, travel to this location is very easy – by metro, RER train, bus, or bicycle.
The start and finish of the 10K will be at the Esplanade Saint Louis, with easy access by foot from the Metro Line 1 or the RER train A “Château de Vincennes”.
