The final general meeting of Paris 2018 was held on March 23, 2019. All resolutions were unanimously adopted. Here is the moral report, which concludes in the dissolution of the association whose object is indeed finished. A festive evening at the historic partner Who’s has completed this very beautiful adventure.

The General Assembly of Paris 2018 voted unanimously on this moral report and unanimously decided to dissolve the association whose purpose is over.

The Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris and the organisation Paris 2018 signed a partnership
agreement to offer quality accommodation and at a preferential rate for all participants of the 10th
edition of the Gay Games, which will be held in Paris from 4 to 12 August 2018. For the first time in
the history of the event, created in 1982, up to 2,000 participants will be offered accommodation in a
unique and prestigious setting: the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris.

At 35, Cécile Lambert is going to participate in her third Gay Games. Involved since 2009 in the Frontrunners in Paris*, she is now co-captain of Team France for the Gay and Lesbian Sports Federation (FSGL), and referee for the Paris Triathlon 2018. For us, she comes back with enthusiasm about her participation in LGBT sports events where she has competed and talks about her expectations for Paris 2018.

The League of Human Rights and the European Association of Human Rights latest Partners with Paris

In October, the League of Human Rights (LDH) and the European Association of Human Rights (AEDH) signed a landmark partnership agreement with Paris 2018. The mission of Paris in 2018 – Gay Games 10 is organize a Celebration of Diversity with sport and culture, promoting tolerance and without discrimination. Given that the guiding principles of LDH is to “constantly affirm the indivisibility, universality and effectiveness of rights for All”, cooperation between the organizations is a natural fit.

During his speech at the Rio Opening Ceremony, President of the international Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, used the phrase, ‘All Equal’, the Paris 2018 motto since October, 2013, when Paris was selected as the Host of Gay Game 10.

During Euro 2016, thanks to the City of Paris, Paris 2018 used several times the Paris Pavilion in the Fan Zone of the Eiffel Tower. It was a great opportunity for the volunteers to meet each other, and also for all to meet some of our ambassadors like Jean-Paul Cluzel and Gilles Rondy. And also to host Euro Pride House with the French Gay and Lesbian Sports Federation (FSGL) and the European Gay and Lesbian Sports Federation (EGLSF).

Very Early Birds: Paris 2018 announces over 700 registered participants

In less than three weeks, over 700 people have registered for Gay Games 10. Participants are from all over the world. USA and France are the most represented countries, with running, swimming and bowling the most popular sports.

Paris 2018 has exceptionally decided to extend the Very Early Bird rate until 13 June 2016 for the first 1,000 first participants. Also, when figure skating, sailing, rowing, and tennis are opened, the first participants in these events will also benefit from the Very Early Bird rate.

Applications for outreach scholarships will be online by the end of July, 2016.

Officially launched on the opening day of the International Tournament of Paris (TIP), enrollment in sporting and cultural events of the 10th edition of the Gay Games has exceeded 250 registrations in just a few hours. Rendezvous awaited by the historical participants at the Gay Games

Paris 2018 also wants to attract anyone from all backgrounds responsive to the values of diversity and inclusion. 15,000 participants are expected in August 2018 for a week of celebration and sharing. The Paris International Tournament (TIP), an important annual event for LGBT athletes, began on May 13, 2016 at “Le Carreau du Temple” in the presence of officials of Paris 2018.
In this context Manuel Picaud, President of Paris 2018 has officially opened registration for the 10th edition of the Gay Games. Throughout the weekend, volunteers from Paris 2018 mobilized to help participants and the public of the TIP to discover the program of the next Gay Games

Opening Ceremony Party : The opening Ceremony Party will take place at the Grand Palais

The Grand Palais is supporting Paris 2018 and will open its doors to Gay Games participants and supporters during the Opening Ceremony party on 4 August 2016. Thousands of people will attend the soirée under the glass roof of the Grand Palais to celebrate the opening of the first Gay Games in France. An exceptional design team will transform this jewel of Parisian heritage into a unique night club for this special event.

A new Honorary President – Paris 2018 welcomes new Honorary President

Paris 2018 is proud to announce our new Honorary President, Isabelle Lamour, who will share this honor with the very distinguished Pierre Bergé.

Isabelle Lamour was elected by unanimous consent during the Paris 2018 General assembly on 12 March 2016. Madame Lamour is President of the French Federation of Fencing (FFE) and the only woman president of a national sport federation in France. President Lamour and the FFE have committed to organizing the fencing event during Gay Games 10. The FFE headquarters is also the site of the Paris 2018 offices, which President Lamour has graciously made available.

Agreement signed with FFN Partnership agreement signed with French National Swimming Federation (FFN)

Francis Luyce, President of the French Federation of Swimming (FFN), has signed a partnership agreement with Paris 2018 on 11 February 2016. The FFN confirmed their support for Gay Games 10 and have committed to organize the Gay Games 10 aquatics trials in 5 disciplines: swimming, synchronized swimming, diving, water polo, and open water swim, with support from Paris Aquatique.
